Manual Osteopathy
Student Clinic
What is the Manual Osteopathy Student Clinic?
Our osteopathic student treatments are performed by final year students at the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy. Students work alongside practicing osteopathic practitioners and are supervised closely. Student clinic is a requirement of their education before beginning their professional practices. All of our students are health practitioners and have met our entrance requirements. Student clinic rotations include observation and practice on peers outside of class time. In their final year, students may treat the public after meeting the necessary requirements.

History of Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy
The Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy (SOCO) was established in 2005 by Dr Igor Norets. It is his extensive knowledge and over 30 years of diverse practical experience in clinical medicine, teaching and research that has established SOCO as Canada’s leading Osteopathic College for Health Practitioners. There are two types of osteopathic training programs as outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO). SOCO is a Type II program, which are specifically designed for health care practitioners.
A fun fact about SOCO is that all of its teaching faculty are also alumni!
