Igor Norets, DOMP, RAc, PhD.
Igor is a manual osteopathic practitioner, registered acupuncturist with a background as a medical doctor in Europe specializing in the field of neurology. His varied experience in clinical medicine allows him a unique perspective in his practice and treatment of a majority of health conditions and utilizing a holistic approach. Igor specializes in Manual Osteopathy, Craniosacral and Visceral Therapy, and treatment of a majority of health conditions utilizing a holistic approach. Igor can incorporate acupuncture in the sessions for a multi-faceted approach.
Igor Norets has more then thirty years of varied experience in clinical medicine. He graduated from Kishinev Medical University (Europe) with a Medical Doctorate. In 1989, he was awarded a PhD degree for clinical research of lower back and pelvic pain syndromes related to sacroiliac joint disorders. Igor has majored in Clinical Neurology, Osteopathy/Manual Medicine (a student of Professor Karel Lewit), Craniosacral and Visceral Therapy, Homeopathy, Iridology, Acupuncture, Rehabilitation. He has served as staff physician in a hospital neurology unit, Director of Neurology, Associate Professor and Private Practitioner. Igor is also the founder of the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy (SOCO) in Mississauga and he teaches osteopathy courses for health practitioners. He is a member of the National Manual Osteopathic Society (NMOS) as well as the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). Igor Norets has written twenty-five scientific publications including monograph, manuals and articles in medical scientific journals.
