Clinical hypnosis is a powerful technique that focuses the imagination to stimulate subconscious change in the form of new thoughts, actions, feelings, and beliefs.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Q.: What is hypnosis?
A.: Hypnosis is a natural state of selective, focused attention that opens the door to healing, relaxation, self-exploration and change.

Q.: What does it feel like?
A.: Although being in hypnosis feels different to everybody, most report that they have never felt this relaxed, both physically and mentally.

Q.: Will I lose control?
A.: No, you will not lose control. The focus is to increase your sense of self-control. You have the choice to end the session at any time by simply opening your eyes.

Q.: Can I get stuck?
A.: No, you cannot get stuck in hypnosis. If you were to stop receiving suggestions, you would either open your eyes, or fall asleep and awaken unhypnotized.

Q.: Will I remember what I said?
A.: Most people remember everything that happens during a hypnosis session, and will often be prompted to communicate during the hypnosis session.

Q.: Can anyone be hypnotized?
A.: All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and thus requires practice, but with guidance everyone can be hypnotized and experience great benefits if open to the experience.

Q.: Am I sleeping in hypnosis?
A.: Hypnosis is not the same as being asleep. To be hypnotized and stay hypnotized you must focus your attention, use your imagination, and follow suggestions.

Sasha Tahiliani

Clinical Hypnosis is provided by Sasha Tahiliani, N.D. Sasha Tahiliani, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor and clinical hypnotherapist.

His interest in the role of psychology and spirituality in health inspired him to earn a double major in both biology and psychology from McMaster University, before going on to complete his medical training at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Dr. Sasha now practices medical hypnosis using hypnotherapy and naturopathic medicine to enhance mental health and optimize physical healing. His medical education, hypnosis training, and deep understanding of the role of the mind-body connection in health and healing serve as the foundation for his holistic approach to wellness that considers both a client's psychology and physiology. Sasha's objective is to gain a full understanding of his patient and their current situation by analyzing what is occurring and then 'putting the pieces together'. Working with the patient and their other health care professionals he will gather information by asking detailed questions about their health concerns and health history, conducting the appropriate physical examination and suggesting lab testing where required.

Dr. Sasha believes in the importance of addressing the underlying causes of illness, that treatment should focus on people rather than their disease, that symptoms, diagnosis, and dis-ease can be a unique learning opportunity, and that each person has the innate ability and inner resources required to heal.
